Every Friday night Shaun and his team run a recovery program at the Water's Edge Church in Laconia called Celebrate Recovery.
The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 8 Recovery Principles found in the Beatitudes of the Bible and the Christ-Centered 12 Steps.
By working the Christ-centered steps and applying their biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.
Personal counseling may be an important next step for you. However, being a part of a community of people who are all honestly and openly working on their own hurts, habits and hang-ups is also an essential part of human growth and development. Celebrate Recovery is a place for people to become whole again in the context of other fellow-strugglers and may be a great place for you!
